Bouaké Stadium is set to host the exciting matchup between Mauritania and Algeria on Tuesday in what will be the third and final matchday of the 2024 Africa Cup of Nations. The Algerian national team heads into the meeting as the third-placed team in the group D standings with two points out of its first two matches of the first phase, courtesy of back-to-back draws.
Algeria opened the tournament with a 1-1 finish against Angola last Monday at Bouaké Stadium, where Baghdad Bounedjah put the team up 1-0 in the first half. Mabululu then leveled the score indefinitely for Angola in the second half via penalty kick. The Algerians then met Burkina Faso on Saturday again at Bouaké Stadium. Bounedjah scored a brace in the match which ended 2-2, with his second strike hitting the back of the net in the 95th minute to secure the point for Algeria.
